Can you Change Your Character in Rust?

Sadly, it’s not possible to change characters in Rust. Every time an individual player starts the game for the first time on a new Steam account, they get assigned a random Rust character, with no options for character customization.

Is There Anyway to Change Your Rust Character?

First, we have to mention that there are no official ways to get Rust character customization, and any methods or third party mods that claim they can do this are most likely lying. Likewise, there are no known methods to change the game’s code in order to alter Rust settings and allow you to change your character. If you want to change your Character in Rust, there are some ways to technically start a new game, and while it won’t carry over your progress, it allows you to re-roll your characters. Here is how to do that:

Use Multiple Steam Accounts

Use Steam Families Feature

If you have Rust on one of your Steam accounts and want to re-roll your character, you can create a new Steam account on your PC and use the family features in order to connect these accounts.
